Share Drafts (Checking)
Credit Unions refer to checking accounts as Share Draft Accounts. We offer share draft
accounts to members of the Credit Union who are 18 years or older.*
A Share Draft account is also known as a checking account. Deposits may be made by payroll
deduction, mail, ATM, or at one of our ACU locations.
You may also arrange direct deposit of social security or other income checks received on
a regular basis.
Easy & Accurate
A duplicate is made as you write your share draft, making it easy to keep an accurate
accounting of your balance - a check (share draft) register is also provided for your
convenience. A monthly statement showing deposits, share drafts that have cleared, and
your account balance will be sent to you giving you a complete, permanent record for your
budgeting and income tax purposes.
We do ask our members to use reasonable care in safeguarding their share drafts. If share
drafts should be lost or stolen, or unauthorized use made of them, please notify the
Credit Union promptly so protective measures can be taken.
